Willow scientific Itea, Salix
Includes approximately 330 species of trees and shrubs. The trees are mostly found near rivers, streams or streams. Small trees and shrubs in mountains, rocky soils and some species in arctic regions.

The active extract from the bark, called salicin. Salicylic acid, like aspirin, is a chemical derivative of salicin.
It is considered to have tonic, antipyretic, antirheumatic, astringent and spasmolytic properties.
As an herb it is used to treat fever, flu and colds. It significantly relieves muscle, joint and rheumatism pain.
