The aphagan is used against hysteria and epilepsy, vertigo, nervous headache, amoeba and other intestinal parasites.

It acts as an anticonvulsant, antitussive and, most importantly, as a menopause, as it stimulates the uterine muscles and causes the menstrual flow. Relief of convulsions makes it useful to stop the spasmodic cough.
